MEET WELLSPRING. A CALIFORNIA NON-PUBLIC SCHOOL.

At the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic when schools started to close. Welfie started reaching out to see what we could do to help. It became evident, very early on, that getting schools reopened. And, keeping them open would be essential.

Perhaps nowhere is that more important than at WellSpring Educational Services. Wellspring is a small Non-Public School with a big heart. I don’t mean that in a cute or poetic way. It really is. They deliver “Relationship-Based Programs for Children with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities”.

Wellspring serves a unique student population. And the families that surround these students rely heavily on the school to provide support, services, education, and community.

It was imperative they open safely and stay open.

HOW DO WE REOPEN OUR SCHOOL?

Welfie has been thinking long and hard about this problem. Well before the California Safe Schools for All Plan came together as a comprehensive document to guide schools to a safe reopening. Welfie was building and perfecting the tools that schools would need to do this.

And it all started with WellSpring.

Like many educators, they were asking “How do we reopen our schools? How do we do this safely?”

This is where Welfie stepped in.

At its core. COVID-19 School Reopening is a people problem. And that is who we focus on.

Welfie is a school health platform helping K-12 schools deal with COVID-19 and mental health. At this moment, we, like most schools, are focused on tackling COVID-19.

When we met the team at WellSpring we knew we had the opportunity to have a really big impact. And we set about working closely with them to learn the ins and outs of school reopening. And perfecting our software and services to help them.

Welfie is designed by doctors. But where we started and where we are at now has been in no small part to the educators, administrators, and pioneers at WellSpring, plus we can’t forget our other school partners.

COVID-19 SYMPTOM SCREENING FOR SCHOOLS

Wellspring, like most schools, was left to figure it all out by themselves. And, like most schools, they turned to Google Sheets to help with their COVID-19 Symptom Screener. Well, a combination of Google Forms and Google Sheets. And in their own words. “What a headache.”

This process is insecure and increases the liability of schools for not managing health data correctly. On top of that, managing several sheets for students, staff, and teachers. Making sure that data can’t be edited, or worse deleted. And who has access to the data and when. Well, that is something that no school should have to tackle.

For schools, Welfie provides a COVID-19 Symptom Screening Solution that is fast, easy, and “Seamless”.

And like many schools, they turned to Google Sheets for Screening. The internet for sourcing PPE. And stepped into the shoes of making public health decisions usually reserved for doctors and public health experts.

Our COVID-19 Symptom, test, and vaccine tracker have been designed with the help of educators. WellSpring has been a fantastic partner in communicating the needs of administrators, staff, students, and families. It is their valued feedback that has led to the “seamless” user experience of our screener and trackers.

Welfie is designed to save you time, automate the workflow and give you back moments in your day. All the work that you had to do before COVID-19 didn’t go away. This brought more work, more tasks, and more stress to your day. We want to help ease that pain and make managing COVID-19 easier.
