Welfie’s Purpose

Our purpose is to cultivate school belonging and engagement by lifting the health and wellness of students, families, and staff. We are here to help school communities be healthier, so that school staff can focus on what they do best, educating minds, and youth can thrive.

Welfie’s Mission

We give districts and schools meaningful insights into the physical and mental health of their school communities which lets them make data driven decisions and create more impactful programs to support their families. Everything starts with “The Welfie”, a  “wellness selfie”,which is a self-screening health and learning readiness tool centered around Check-In Check-Out (CICO).  Our Welfies span mental health, heart health, and immune health, creating a holistic picture of wellness . An individual’s Welfie is used to match and deliver personalized content, recommendations, and referrals to bridge health and social service gaps. 

We are best known for our COVID Welfie, which makes in-class learning safer through COVID vaccine, testing, and symptom tracking along with contact tracing. Additionally, we offer school health  consulting services to schools and districts.

We are working for a more just and equitable world. For too long, black and brown people, women, LGBTQ people along with many others have been left out of important conversations particularly around health and care. These are the voices we want to lift up, and these communities are front and center in the work that we are doing.

We are inspired by those we serve and by the possibilities of being inspired by the thoughts and ideas of others.  We look at every person we interact with as a potential source of inspiration and greatness and, as we grow, we hope to inspire others to step into their own power and agency.

We know that Welfie will change the world and, as we evolve, we will be tapping into the  most disruptive force in the universe to help us do it: kids. We will learn from their optimism, hope and bold ideas as we work with them to tackle health and healthcare problems that have plagued certain communities for generations. We will also create materials and products inspired by kids that are so engaging, people can’t wait to use them.
