School Health Consulting
Every child can inspire and create happier, healthier communities.
Introducing Welfie’s School Health Consulting
Welfie is now offering school health consulting services to school communities. This idea was born from conversations we had with school leaders about the need for more professional-to-professional consultation around student health and wellness.
Who We Are
We have put together a group that consists of psychologists, educators, pediatricians, social workers, autism/neurodiversity experts, and public health professionals to help school communities care for their students and families with cultural competency, expertise, and compassion.
Welfie’s purpose
Our purpose is to cultivate school belonging and engagement by lifting the health and wellness of students, families, and staff. We are here to help school communities be healthier, so that school staff can focus on what they do best, educating minds, and youth can thrive.
Our Service Areas of Focus
Our unique leadership team is composed of women and people of color. We are all professionals with a diversity of culture, backgrounds, and expertise. We help schools in the following areas:
Our Process
Our consultation model is a collaborative process that enables us to get a rich understanding of your community and its needs, and then co-develop and implement successful solutions for your school.
Identify: We want to get to know you. We will conduct an initial interview with school leaders to understand the issues your school is facing. We will learn about your school and its local community. We will identify our problem of practice and a school site team as our point of contact.
Investigate: We will perform a needs assessment to take a deeper dive into the problem(s) our team will be working with you on. We will meet with various members of the school community and other important stakeholders to get their perspectives on the problem.
Plan: We will hold solutions meetings with the school site team to identify solutions. We will co-create a backwards plan with action steps, deliverables, and metrics. We will present a plan of support to the school site team.
Execute: We will help you implement the plan of support. We will conduct regular check-in meetings and help you monitor your progress.
Evaluate: At the end of the project, we will gather stakeholder feedback, help you analyze your data, and conduct a project summary.
