So, what’s a Welfie?

Welfie is a Wellness Selfie, a  screener and tracker that lets school leaders get a snapshot of the whole school or district health. It helps schools improve learning and readiness among their students and staff.  

The COVID Welfie

When we conceived of Welfie, we hadn’t imagined something like COVID-19 disrupting everything, including our plans. It quickly became essential that we launch the COVID Welfie so that we could help schools through the crisis. 

The Covid Welfie is an all-in-one Covid 19 vaccine tracker, contact tracer, modified quarantine tracker, a symptom tracker and a test tracker, and it’s helping districts and schools keep kids and teachers safe and in school.

But Welfie is so much more than COVID

Soon, we will fold our COVID welfie into the Immune Health Welfie we are designing, which will track things like infectious diseases and asthma. Other Welfies we are in development on include:

• a Mental Health Welfie

• a Fitness and Nutrition Welfie

• a Check in Checkout Welfie that will let school leaders quickly and easily assess the general wellbeing of their communities. 

We know that kids can’t learn unless they’re healthy. Good health leads to a good education. A good education leads to a better job which leads to income and more happiness. Welfie wants to help ensure that students, especially underrepresented students, have a good shot at the education they need so they can live their best lives.

In short, it’s whole school health made easy!
